Update from Norm Barnhart and his trip overseas with his Good News program.
In Taiwan now Tomorrow workshop with 50 entertainers and then Thursday through Sunday doing a street entertainment festival in huge downtown park in city. Acts are here for this festival from Spain France Taiwan Japan and many others. Oh and one act was invited from US
I completed a 3 week trip to India doing 51 programs for schools colleges etc. God is amazing. I am so thankful.
I donated the motorcycle this past June for his work and ministry and we got to meet and I got to see the Harley or whatever it is… I got to ride on it too! But he usually walks from town to town….he has a couple churches he leads in various villages and then other outreach so this cycle should assist quite a bit.
A motorcycle like this costs only $900 – it is a stripped down model, basic no bells or whistles, but solid built and that is what is needed for the rough roads. Hey – if any FCM members want to chip in and help buy another one there are two pastors who could use something like this and would help tremendously…. If 10 FCM people would donate $50 each I would cover the balance and get another pastor up and rolling and serving the Lord in India. This gentleman was so grateful and it was sweet to meet him. He is doing so much more ministry to so many. I wish I could help more. If you could consider a gift, please do so by making a pledge and I will get you the tax deductible path to send it when I return to MN Nov 30 Lord willing. Thanks – I can hardly express the joy and difference this would make in a pastor’s life.
The last day was Sunday night with a program at orphanage with a wonderful group of such sweet kids. About 45 raised their hands for JC! We gave New Testaments and a few full bibles and lots of hugs. That final show is pictured with small the crowd with girl in red dress.
Then off to airport at 10 and flew at 1:45 AM then arrived in Hong Kong 9+ hours later then wait a bit then over to Taiwan at noon Monday then a slow train to the high speed station then a 2 hour on High speed rail to city I am in now. beautiful.. fresh air sweet people and 10 or so shows. Press conference on Thursday and then Myself and Mr Drew from Thailand will present a 6 hr workshop for training with 50 local entertainers tomorrow Wednesday.
Walked around city with a number of performers last night and had fun and some fireworks and ate here and there. Half way through a bowl of wonderful soup I said Is this squid? and my main contact here Jon Jon said no it is pig intestine. I wish I did not ask. However it was tasty tasty and probably good for making me strong.
Today Oyster soup along side was delicious green looked like spinach like stuff and excellent fish… oh and pork rice (I imagined bacon) but no questions. All tastes great and God’s blessings shower from above. Hope to see you all soon. – Norm Barnhart
